The app is free to foster carers
We’ve developed this app to protect foster carers and their families so we don’t want to put anyone off using it by charging for it. If you find it useful, it would really help us if you let your fostering service know how it is helping you. Thank you.
Fostering Service Licensing is just £30 per foster carer per annum
WeeklyReports does one thing and it does it well – fostering records. Hopefully it’s an iterative improvement over existing practice – a way of gently nudging foster carers into better routines by providing a tool that empowers them. For some foster carers it will enable a massive improvement to both the quality and the timeliness of their recordings. It will also remove a bureaucratic burden from their lives, a burden that for many foster carers is incredibly stressful. But WeeklyReports can also hugely improve the value of recordings to social workers.
Live Categorised feedback
Social workers can check in whenever they need to a live feed of what’s actually happening in a placement in a completely non-intrusive way. Furthermore, because entries are tagged, social workers can quickly and easily find the information they need to help support their foster carers.
hassle free file transfer
We provide a secure portal where social workers can monitor live feeds, see entries by tags and collect completed reports and digital memories. Having all recordings held securely in one place makes monitoring much simpler for busy social workers.
Secure
We are ISO27001 and Cyber Essential certified company. All accounts use MFA. All files are encrypted both locally and at rest using FIPS 140 certified HSMs. We also use intelligent threat detection to monitor all activity on all accounts.
Simple Wonderful Memories done right

It’s no secret that the files our children get back from local authorities on making a data access request are awful; large swathes of redactions followed by interminable boring bureaucratic forms. The problem is there is no easy way to improve these without introducing yet another burden to already overburdened foster carers and their social workers.
WeeklyReports provides a simple solution by providing a memories category. As a foster carer makes their recordings they can tag any record or photo with #memory. This filters out all the bureaucracy and creates a wonderful record of the important events in a child’s life and, because it’s marked as a memory in the carers records, the social worker can have oversight to ensure that this tag is being used correctly.
These memories are then collated into a digital diary that can be saved alongside a child’s recordings giving a child easy access to a coherent and positive life story full of lovely memories and photos.
Frequently Asked Questions
Licencing cost
Licencing gives access to our portal for secure easy file downloads, live entries, categorised entries and digital memories. It’s costs just £30 per foster carer per annum.
How are you funding the development?
We developed this as a side project to help us, as foster carers, do our own weekly recordings. Going forward we feel the best way to fund further development is through licensing the app to fostering services.
Are there any in-app purchases?
No – it is completely free to foster carers.
Can I use the app on more than one device at the same time?
No, the app only works on one device at a time. This is deliberate to ensure greater security of the data. Only data that has been submitted to our secure online portal is available across devices.
What happens if I lose my device?
For security we do not sync data that you have not chosen to submit to our secure online storage portal. This means that any unsubmitted data will be lost so it is important to make sure that all reports are regularly submitted.
